Salt of the Earth (Australia) Pty Ltd was the first company to introduce Hand Harvested Celtic Sea Salt into Australia and New Zealand. Established since 1989 we have developed an diverse client base consisting of Health Food Stores, Pharmacies, Alternative Health Care Practitioners, Dentists, Delicatessens and fruit stores throughout Australia, we also export our products to New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Our mission at Salt of the Earth is to supply consumers with the best possible quality Hand Harvested Sea Salt available. Whilst at the same time, educating people on the benefits of Natural Sea Salt and how it can assist in a healthy well balanced diet essential for well being. Combined with excellent customer care and service.

For as long as humans have existed, salt has been an essential part in our daily diet. Have you ever heard the expression that someone is worth their salt? This derives from many generations ago when salt was given as partial payment for a persons wage. Natural Hand Harvested Sea Salt contains 84 trace elements and minerals. These elements, though small, assist in maintaining a healthy well balanced diet. When salt is refined, bleached then mixed with anti-caking agents, all of the natural trace elements have been removed leaving only Sodium Chloride. The human metabolism has not been designed to break down solely Sodium Chloride repeatedly over many years causing doctors to enforce strict "low sodium" diets. Although we cannot offer any medical advice, Natural Hand Harvested Sea Salt with its natural mineral content is not at all a major health problem today.

At Salt of the Earth we believe that good health is achieved from a healthy well balanced diet by eating food in an unrefined state containing a variety of balanced nutrients. These nutrients are more readily absorbed by the body than if taken in a synthetic form.
